Titus 2:11-15 NKJV

[11] For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, [12] teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, [13] looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, [14] who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. [15] Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

In my early years, I spent a lot of time concerned with what people thought about me. I wanted to fit in. I wanted to be popular. I went to church regularly, but I did not live the life of a Christ follower. I became quite skilled with living a life of duplicity.

It has taken a lot of years and some REALLY disastrous experiences to get to a point where I didn't care about what other people thought. Jesus met me where I was, right in the middle of my mess, and brought me through my darkest times. I never understood the value and purpose of worship until I was on my knees. God didn't turn His back on me. He extended a level of mercy and grace I couldn't comprehend.

At no point have I ever deserved or earned God's goodness. None of us do, but we all have the same access to it. It would be selfish (and ungrateful) of me not to tell others about what Jesus has done. I know how bad "bad" can be. I owe my life to God. The least I can do is live it for His glory.
